System Completion Coordinator


We are currently looking for a Systems Completion Coordinator to work in Houston, TXRate $800-1000
Provide early systems completion planning support.Apply system and sub-system philosophy to project FEED deliverables in accordance with existing specifications. Primary responsibilities will include: Develop system and sub-system boundaries and incorporate into project P&IDs. Develop system and sub-system boundaries and incorporate into project Electrical One Line Diagrams and Instrumentation drawings. Produce a master system/sub-system list. From detailed review of platform layouts and module boundary limits, further develop existing testing and commissioning plan for fabrication yards and offshore HUC campaign. Further development of FEED level start-up sequence (fishbone diagram) when system and sub-system limits are defined and numbered. Prepare system completion database (SCD) loading templates with information from P&ID’s, One Line Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Piping Line List, Instrument Index, Mechanical Equipment List etc. in a format that can be uploaded to the SCD early following project sanction. Provide Systems Completion input to Master Schedule.
Ideal candidate will have considerable design office, fabrication yard and offshore commissioning planning and execution experience, working closely with fabrication contractor personnel. Familiarity with engineering systems, deliverables and interfaces for all disciplines. Experience in reviewing and overseeing work package development and execution. Familiarity with SCD’s such as Zenator, WinPCS etc. is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred but not essential. Must be capable of reading P&ID’s and extracting information from them that is required to be input to the system completion database. Ability to read Electrical One Line Diagrams and extracting information would be an advantage.
Education: Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years project work.
Additional Comments: (potential for future relocation to fabrication locations and offshore Angola if contracted for Execution Phase work)

Responsibilities :
The Control Systems Engineer's job expectations include:

* Provide Technical Assurance to all instrumentation and automation changes in their designated area.
* Provide Control Systems Day-to-Day support for their designated Operating Area.

As Build any changes to documents / drawings made during commissioning activities.

Construction Coordinator - Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) - Horizon Oil Sands

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Be part of the exciting growth and expansion of the Horizon Oil Sands. With your contribution we will see incremental production gains of approximately 250,000 bbl/d. Further phases of expansion will bring the ultimate capacity to 500,000 bbl/d.
• As a key member of the team you will be responsible for participating in the electrical and instrumentation equipment components of the bid, design and constructability reviews as well as be a focal point in the interface coordination between Operations and the EPC contractors
• Act as the Construction Manager representative for all issues related to Electrical and Instrumentation in the field
This position is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta and is eligible for:
• Relocation to Calgary or Fort McMurray
• Company Sponsored Fly In/Fly Out and Camp Accommodation Program with charter flights available from Calgary or Edmonton
HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
Maximize your oil and gas industry field experience and apply your electrical and instrumentation expertise to:
• Review and monitor contractor Construction Execution Plans, schedules and manpower loading to ensure compliance with Canadian Natural standards, policies and procedures
• Develop, review and communicate electrical engineering plans within the Project and coordinate work efforts with other areas of the Project
• Optimize the area systems and equipment while providing information, data and recommendations concerning maintenance issues and activities
• Evaluate and understand contractor modularization proposals and designs, equipment work scopes and work with contractor to ensure installation interfaces with other units/groups are taken into account and specifications are followed
• Oversee work completion as per schedule milestone dates, be cognizant of any scope changes and indicate deviations to Construction Manager and Project Controls
• Monitor and participate in audits with safety specialists to ensure contractor safety compliance
• Be a member of the pre-commissioning and system turnover team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Electrical and Instrumentation Journeyman certification with PLC and DCS experience
• Experience with MI-SR controllers and Electric Heat Tracing (EHT)

Principal Electrical Engineer


My Client is a contractor in the nuclear, oil and gas industries. Due to their expansion they are looking for a Principle Electrical Engineer to join their team.
The Project work will range from Concept Design through to Installation, Construction and Commissioning.Responsibilities include:
• Specification and requisitioning of equipment
• Designing power systems
• Technical bid evaluations.
• Input to drawing office deliverables.
• Co-ordinating and interfacing with other disciplines, clients and vendors.
Experience:
• BSc Elect Eng or HND/HNC with suitable experience.
• Chartered Engineer
• Experience in engineering design of electrical installations associated with petrochemical, process, nuclear or power plants.
• Use of power system software,
• Candidates will have experience designing electrical installations associated within the power industry.
