Our client has a vacancy for an Electrical Package Engineer based in London.
As Electrical Package Engineer your main responsibilities will include:
- Ability to work safely in a testing & construction environment
- Ability to carry out Factory Acceptance Tests on electrical equipment
- Drilling package experience at both design and acceptance testing stages
- LV MCC and switchgear experience including construction and testing to IEC standards
- LV Variable Frequency Drive experience including construction and testing to IEC standards
- LV Transformer experience including construction and testing to IEC standards
- Familiarity with ATEX, Low Voltage, and other applicable EC Directives
- Ability to progress review of vendor documentation
- Familiarity with QA process e.g. criticality rating
- Ability to work well with other disciplines e.g. Mechanical and Instrumentation
- Knowledge of PLC's and programming languages
- Ability to write clear and concise technical reports
- Knowledge of electrical protection principles including setting and witness testing of protection relays
- Knowledge of UPS systems and battery back-up supplies
- Understanding of offshore bonding and earthing principles
Qualifications and experience required:
- Familiarity with EMC standards i.e. IEC 61000
- Knowledge of control networks and interfaces e.g. fibre optics
- Familiar with Human / Machine interface issues e.g. diagnostic displays, alarm prioritisation
- Knowledge of Emergency Diesel Generator specification and operation
- Knowledge of short circuit testing and cable sizing principles
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
