Senior Close Out Designer


Responsibilities:
• Assist with resolving technical queries and ensure the resolution is satisfactory and ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process.
• To be able to conduct site surveys.
• To be able to produce Design deliverables required for the role and participate in design reviews and check and approve discipline documents also to check interdisciplinary documents where necessary.
• Producing documentation deliverables for inclusion in workpacks, and or, design books on time to meet project deadlines for assigned packages and scopes of work.
• Supervision of other discipline designers within the scope of work, work is broadly determined by the Lead or Principal Engineer where informed guidance is available; to be able to demonstrate competence in the role.
• Responsible for delivery as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion of design documentation within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
• Preparation of design scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.
• Identification of increase or reduction in scope and assist in raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes.
• Provide Discipline Design Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards are not compromised by any Discipline Engineering Activities.
• Conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards.
• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards.
• Compliance with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate.
• Operate and act responsibly, taking into account of the need to progress environmental, social and economic outcomes simultaneously.
• Be responsible for continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in own area of practice.
• Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations.Job Requirements:
• HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline with sufficient post qualification experience to be considered as possessing a good working knowledge in their respective discipline. Some experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
• Computer literate in Microsoft packages and required software packages for role.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore personnel at all levels.
