Proposals Leader


Our client, an international subsea service organisation based in Bridge of Don is seeking a Proposals Leader to join them on a permanent or contract basis. Reporting to the Proposals Manager you will assist in the planning, coordinating and controlling the execution of the proposal, in accordance with Instruction to Bidders requirements and Proposal objectives, within time and cost constraints in observance of Quality Procedures and practices.Responsibilities:
• Be conversant with the technical and commercial aspects of Tenders
• Identify potential variations in costs and the scope of work.
• Ensure all tenders submitted to external clients are done so in the best interests of the Company.
• Identify and compile scopes of work to 3rd party subcontractors for operations out with the Company’s core business structure where required, as part of Tender’s.
• Identify and compile scopes of work for internal departments in order to fulfil client requirements, and ensure that all the relevant information is included within the Company’s final proposal.
• Compile all necessary CTR’s and ensure these are suitably authorised prior to the submission of any proposals to clients.

• Ensure the required documentation is compiled and suitably authorised in a timely manor prior to submission to clients.
• Make, develop and encourage any technical suggestions that will enhance the overall competitiveness of Company proposals, which may be seen to give added value to clients.
• Liaise with and co-ordinate the activities of vendors and subcontractors as and when required as part of tenders, without commercial authority.
• Keep up to date with ongoing developments in the fields of subsea construction and remote engineering.
• Interface with the other engineers to guarantee all design work is carried out with the common target of optimising final cost and schedule.
• Review and be familiar with Operations Department specifications, design, drawing procedures in order to conform to the Company’s Quality Assurance Programme, the specific requirements of Clients and other governmental and/or statutory bodies.
• Conduct all activities within the Quality and Safety Management Policy and Procedures.
Requirements:
• University or College Engineering / Quantity Surveyor education to BSc/BEng or higher and/or Industry training.
• Previous professional experience in relevant ROV/Subsea Engineering or Tendering background.
• Be conversant with the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Standard.
