Opportunity to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator based in Sharjah till early 2012 then based in Algeria on a rotational contract basis.About the Client

Key responsibilities will include:
- The Pipeline Commissioning Engineer is expected to display HSSE leadership promote Project HSSE expectations, behaviours and working practices with vendors and contractors personnel.
- Should have a minimum of 10 years site experience of pipeline construction and commissioning, with special emphasis on hydrotesting, dewatering and pigging activities.
- Show literacy in reading of engineering drawings including PandID's and isometrics.
- Provide regular communication of system status, schedule issues, quality issues, etc to management.
- Familiarise oneself with construction scope. Identify opportunities for early mechanical completion of sub-systems and drive contractor to completion
- Assure rigorous implementation of approved construction method statements by attendance at QC inspections as driven by the approved Inspection and Test Plans.
- Ensure that preservation and maintenance is correctly identified and is being carried out in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Be familiar with project completions systems and 'as building' of engineering documentation.
The ideal candidate will / must have the following:
- 10+ years experience in oil and gas pipeline construction and commissioning.
- Degree in engineering discipline / or significant practical field experience.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and their use
