My client a large subsea oil and gas company are currently looking to recruit for a Project manager on a staff basis in their Aberdeen office.
Main responsibilites for this role are:
Responsibilities are carried out within a regional structure based around a project focused P&L organisation.The project will where possible use the Company’s standard products or modified as required. However, elements of the project may be sub-contracted within the Group or with external suppliers.
Projects will be for UKCS or globally.
Project Manager may be required to assist in running new EPC/EPIC & R&D projects.

Duties on projects include:-
•Demonstrate commitment to the company processes, procedures and to of continuous improvement.
•Demonstrate commitment to safety throughout Project lifespan.
•Customer liaison – point of contact to client.
•Deliver projects to agreed time scale, budget and to specification.
•Commercial & contractual aspects of the project, facilitate changes within contract T&Cs.
•Provide management and leadership to Core Project Team (Engineering/Supply Chain/QA/Aftermarket/Data Control).
•Manage Project team interfaces & progress with regular Core Project Team review meetings.
•Project Commercial and Technical Risk assessment.
•Bid vs. Customer specification evaluation and review.
•Overall progress monitoring to Project Plan with Project Planner.
•Control of project budget & timescales, exercise cost control and manage cash flow.
•Create added value to Project and raise Variation Orders
•For Greenfield Projects, perform handover to SLS Department.
•Close out project & create close-out and lessons learnt reports.
•Progress report to client and to company management as required.
•Work with Project cost controller to provide cost/margin reports – ETC’s (estimates to complete) to company management.
•Distribute project information internally by appropriate means e.g. intranet & externally through Marketing.
•Promote company image and marketability.

•Relevant experience including multi-discipline and various project sizes and scope (preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry)
•Familiar with the use of SAP and Primavera P3e Planning tools
•To be able to demonstrate the ability to implement Aker Solutions Core Values
•Institute membership preferred
