This position will act as Instrumentation & Control Systems Technical Authority for the global fleet, providing single point support for troubleshooting to our installations globally.

Essential Job Tasks
• Provide technical input in ensuring reliability of equipment, within area of responsibility, is maintained including input into RAM, Criticality and FMECA studies.
• Assist in establishing and updating maintenance strategies including recognition of aging and obsolete equipment.

• Review and approve amendments to Instrument and Control operational procedures, including override management, isolation standards, system and equipment testing, etc.
• Carry out routine audits and inspections and report accordingly on operational units, in shore-bases and at vendor bases to ensure that the condition and operation of the Instrumentation & Control Systems is in line with overall procedures, local authority regulations, unit-specific Procedures and performance standards.
• Carry out and assist with investigations into Instrumentation & Control Systems related incidents and equipment failures, including recommending actions to prevent recurrence.

Experience Required
• Minimum of 5 yrs proven experience in oil & gas industry
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced in design, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Instrumentation & Control, ICSS and DCS systems within the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of international standards such SIL and API
• Computer literate in Microsoft packages and familiarity with software based maintenance systems
Education
• Appropriate degree or equivalent technical qualification in related subject e.g. Instrumentation and Control Systems.
